product description

Temporary and peelable protective car and auto paint masks are made for protecting automobiles. These masks are designed to combat the hazards that a vehicle faces on today's highways. Rock chips, insects, bad weather, and salted roadways are just some of the things that can damage the beautiful factory finish of a vehicle and diminish it's value.  PaintShield 5720 protective car paint can also be used to protect against scrapes and scratches during storage, transport, and handling processes.

Great product

Good product,

It takes time to prepare the car, but after that, it's really easy to apply the product.

Easy to remove. I use it for every track day.

I recommend this product.

Tried it for my road course car

I enjoy the fact that this product is easy on compared to hours spending taping the body panels of the car. It protected the front of my car no problem for track days.

The downside to this product is that every time I try to remove the paintshield there may be “patches” left over on the paint that didn’t come off as an entire sheet. I tried all purpose cleaner, and even rapid remover which is specific to adhesives. Non did as good of a job as a good old clay bar.

Works real good but could use some instructions.

I applied this to the front of my McLaren in prep for 2 days at a local road course. I applied 3 coats and it dried quickly with the help of a fan.
Dries clear and hard to detect unless you are close up. Some things I learned the hard way. Do NOT roll it over body seams as it will be hard to remove. Be careful not to glue your bonnet shut with excess dripping onto the rubber seal. I would say 3 coats minimum (1/5 can) did the whole front of the car. Make sure that you leave a continuous thick edge if doing part of a panel, it will make removing easier. Once you get an edge up it strips easily and I will try compressed air to finish stripping the car.

One of the best peelable coatings

I have used this for a few years now,and it works well.I have left it on for a month or better and it cleans up without alot of effort. As the product aged 2-3 yrs. it dried with a slight yellowing and peeled off easier when removing.
