DeckGeneral’s Deck Stripper is an alkaline deck stripper powerful enough to remove clear and semi-clear stains from decks, as well as film forming clear coatings and water sealers.
This deck stain remover also works on deteriorated varnishes and polyurethanes and removes damages and discolored wood fibers, mildew and water stains.
Recommended Application (used as received):
- Spray the wood-stripping solution on the surface to be cleaned
- Allow 15 to 20 minutes for stripper to react with the surface
- When finished, use a power washer to remove the stripper and the coating
- Optional: Follow up with a DeckGeneral Wood Brightener to neutralize any residual wood-stripping solution and brighten up your deck.
Make sure you avoid using our Deck Stripper in conjunction with strong oxidizing agents such as bleach, strong reducing agents, strong bases such as ammonia and soft metals such as aluminum.
